Special Interest Video production — Project studio

Operate your own independent audio-visual project studio for production of business support videos and special interest products. Technology is so advanced these days we have so much to choose from. Even some free software tools work well but you generally get what you pay for, as for most things in life.

My studio runs the high-end professional Sonar digital audio workstation (DAW) software together with a comprehensive range of third-party specialist audio packages.

For video, the studio uses the Sony Vegas Pro editing platform along with associated third-party tools. And you need a wide range of third-party tools for conversions and such. In addition, given the need for screen capture these days, Camtasia Studio from Techsmith has (apparently) many happy users but I count myself as one of those who struggle due to annoying audio sync issues that have been complained about for a long long time. Come on Techsmith, get your act together. I may give some video examples of this issue later—to hopefully help get it fixed!

Personal special Interest video projects

Special interest video topics are diverse. Here’s an example of a personal special interest video produced for a local best-selling Hong Kong author and sports enthusiast.
